DJ Scott is a life long fan of good music with a serious vinyl addiction. He grew up in South London on a strict diet of Funky music, which in time lead him onto Hip-Hop. Under the influence of his brothers he gained a strong love of many different genres and was first introduced to vinyl. He still has his original 1200s that his brother gave to him in back in the day however now his music collection has grown considerably and covers many genres; Soul, Funk, Jazz, Reggae, Hip-Hop, Disco, Rock, Country and Electronic.
He is a father of three who now lives in North London and still tries hard to find time to go diggin’ in the crates for loops, breaks and samples. He first started DJing as a hobby before going on to play at parties and a few clubs throughout the 90s and the early noughties. For over ten years now He has been writing for various music websites and his own blog, which focuses on Hip-Hop and the music it samples, live shows, album reviews and interviews.
Scott plays Soul, Jazz, Disco and Funk on his Friday night show and Old Skool Hip Hop on Tuesdays.
