Eon Irving

The passion Eon Irving has for soul and funky music has fuelled his career from the very beginning. As a teenager in the 70’s he religiously attended the iconic London club, “Crackers”, where George Power ruled supreme. Towards the end of the decade he found himself working in promotion and A&R at several major record companies which began at  Island Records as Club Promotions Manager.

The 80’s saw the birth of his professional DJ career, holding residencies in several prestigious venues such as The Kensington Roof Gardens, The Limelight, The WAG and Maunberry’s. Soon international work in Europe and America followed. There were also celebrity parties for the likes of Prince, Bobby Brown, Omar, Lennox Lewis and Public Enemy.

The 90’s brought remix and production work with Loose Ends, Junior Giscombe, Gwen Guthrie, Joycelyn Brown and Maxi Priest. Recent DJ work has been with Leee John (Imagination), Pauline Henry (The Chimes) and Carl McIntosh (Loose Ends). Throughout Eon has held a real love and respect for radio and soon found himself regularly in front of the microphone.

He has now happily come full circle here at Crackers Radio, as both Head of Music and presenter.
